Those wishing to join this chapter are also invited to join STARFLEET, International at https://db.sfi.org/secure/signup.php or United Federation Starfleet, at http://www.ufstarfleet.org. Memberships in this chapter and United Federation Starfleet are free, however there is a fee for membership in STARFLEET International. » Hey Crew Member in the NYC Area

Posted on Friday May 10th, 2013 @ 8:01am by Lieutenant Wathiqa Kiteme in General News

Hello All,

I'm just about recovered from a slightly life altering event (discovered I have some slightly crossed wires in the balance mechanisms in my body). Anyway, the experience has made me a bit more aware that life has to be enjoyed while you're able. With that in mind, I was wondering if any of you in the NYC area would be interested in getting together for a meet and greet. The details can be worked out later of course, but first, I need to know who's interested.

Anyone?

» Wrote an article in the real world

Hello All,

Just wanted to say hello to everyone and to let them know about something I do in the real world. I had an article published at Yahoo! Voices. I am slowly but surely starting (what I hope will be) a career as a freelance writer. Here is a link to my Contributor page.

http://contributor.yahoo.com/user/1715566/nichelle_miyakoshi.html

This will bring you to any articles I publish on Yahoo! Voices. There is also a place on this page that will bring you to any fan fiction I write under the name HazelnutKiss41. My fan fiction is based on my take on the Star Trek 2009 movie. I'm interested in seeing what changes in perspective the upcoming movie will bring to my writing.

Anyway, just thought I'd share that with you all.

» Returning to Missions

Posted on Friday December 14th, 2012 @ 11:19pm by Colonel Jonathan Wilson in Out of Character

Greetings Crew of the USS Rodger Young,
I wanted to take a few moments to write this so that everyone will know I am not dead. I feel like the walking dead, but I have not yet passed on.
That was a joke, for those that may not know I have a new born in the house now (and a new member of the Crew to the RY as well). Sleep is a bit short but it is getting better.
I want to get our missions started up again and get everyone back into the mode and feel of the Rodger Young. I'm going to end our current mission series where we are stuck in drydock and start some where we can actually get moving and see what the universe has to offer.
As many of you also know our wiki was hacked a few months ago and had to be removed and reinstalled from the beginning. I'm also wanting to work aon getting more information in the wiki about the ship, the design, the crew, and our missions.
So look for a return to action after the new year and I want to see the Senior Officers in my ready room at 8am tomorrow. :)

» USS Rodger Young Wiki

Posted on Thursday October 11th, 2012 @ 8:08pm by Colonel Jonathan Wilson in Website Update

My fellow members of the USS Rodger Young,
This week our Media Wiki site was hacked in an attempted DoS attack on godaddy.com. The damage to the Wiki is so massive that I have decided to remove the wiki and reinstall it and secure it against external data users. If you would like to help out with the wiki and the data it will contain, please drop me an email privately so I can create you a login and password. All senior Officers should have this ability as well as a "@ussrodgeryoung.org" email address.
In the next week I will be activaly restarting the Role Play on the Rodger Young with some new story seeds and the XO will begin planning a new story arc for the ship.
Also I would like to hear via email from everyone if they wish to keep the UFS affiliation or just focus on SFI and our internal positions.

Commanding Officer, USS Rodger Young
